Game DC Next Gen
Character Name: Alice Olsen
Character Journal (if applicable): supergirl_red
Physical description (face, build, weight): Alice is an athletic, red-haired teenager, which is usually a little bit on the unkempt side.
Age: 16
Birthday: February 29
Codename: Supergirl
PB: Kat Mcnamara
Abilities: Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound! (aka super-strength, super-speed, limited invulnerability, currently about ¼ Kryptonian standard levels). Will grow in power as she ages, including developing other Kryptonian abilities (flight, vision powers, etc)
As Supergirl, she wears a specially designed wig (made with Fortress tech) affixed to her bioelectric aurora, to better help disguise her secret identity. It can only be removed through a mental sequence on her part
Weaknesses and flaws: Kryptonite. Alice is also prone to leaping before she looks (sometimes literally!), which can get her into trouble
Character location/Home: Metropolis
Alignment (villain, hero etc): Hero
Team: Teen Titans
Relatives (living/dead?): Jimmy Olsen (father, living); Linda Lang-Olsen/Kara Zor-El (mother, living); Lana Lang (“great-aunt”, living); Clark Kent/Kal-El (cousin, living); Connor Kent/Kon-El (clone cousin, living) (leaving specific status of Superman relatives to whomever apps a Superman kid)
Backstory: Jimmy Olsen had met Supergirl several times, and was on friendly terms with her, but it wasn’t until she adopted the civilian identity of Linda Lang, pretending to be Lana Lang’s niece and took a position as an intern at the Daily Planet. Somehow, he managed to remain blissfully unaware of her dual identity until she eventually chose to reveal it to him. He took it surprisingly well. Jimmy would eventually propose, and that would lead to lots of other secrets being revealed (Jimmy could not believe he hadn’t figured it out, but Lois assured him it was okay).
A couple years down the line, Kara gave birth to a daughter, who they named Alice.
For whatever reason, be that human genetics, Kara’s own troubles with Kryptonite poisoning, or some combination of the two, Alice’s powers were fairly slow to develop, not starting to develop until puberty. And the fact that there's a lot of power she doesn't even have yet worries her a bit, even if everyone (Especially Conner), insists these things take their own time. Fortunately, she’s had lots of good teachers to help her control them.
Though it seemed like a lifetime, Jimmy and Kara insisted that she wait until she was sixteen before she was allowed to be “Supergirl.” The waiting felt like it took forever, but she made her public debut shortly after her sixteenth birthday, making her something of a rookie super-hero.
It was suggested that she join the Teen Titans, to get experience, and to help develop more friendships within the heroes her own age.
Alice has also demonstrated an interest in photography, though more from an artistic standpoint than a headline standpoint.
How do you plan to introduce the character to the game?: Having been active for a few months, and starting to join the Titans.
What are you planning to do with this character? Be a Titan, gain experience. There’s also all kinds of potential for Kryptonian stuff (Kandor, Brainiac, Phantom Zone, etc).
What do you want to see happen with this character?: Grow into the kind of hero her mom and cousin would be proud of
